I have a new spreadsheet with 22 columns and 16,000 records.
I need to use the data filter to examine data in the cells and find empty fields or incorrect data. The problem is that when I filter a column, not all of the values in the column are showing up in the filter box. It appears not to be accepting the highest values in the column. When I do a custom filter, say all values over $300, the higher values in the column do appear. Is there a limitation on the number of records that one can filter. Any feedback is appreciated. There is no limit. You might want to start by ensuring that all cells in that column are the same format with numeric values throughout. Find a line that does not appear in filtered list that it should, and check those cells out...

While there's no limit to the number of records that can be filtered (other than the row limits of the worksheet itself), the filter drop down list will only show the 1st 1,000 unique values. You can circumvent this limit by using a Custom AutoFilter or an Advanced AutoFilter.
