Well used excel file won't open (mac 9.1, excel 2001)

A 712k workbook file used all the time just won't open. Have run Nortons.
When you double click on it, it opens excel, but not the file.
Other files opening OK.

Deperate to fix it.

You have tried rebooting your system?

I know its basic, but its usually the best place to start. Does the file open ok if another user opens it?

You might also try copying the file when unopened under a different name - never used a mac so i hope this is easy enough

Maybe it IS open, but hidden. Check to see that the Window | Unhide... menu command isn't "ghosted". If not, choose it.
