Hi, I have several forms that are hard-copy only that I want to make as digital forms in Excel. Basically, I want to lock down most of the form, leaving only the blanks that they will need to fill out. My main question is:
What is the method for making it so that the user is limited to certain cells to tab through? Basically, the active cell will never be a locked cell. |

select all the cells you want users to tab to (hold down the ctrl key to select multiple cells) and go to format menu>cells>protection tab and uncheck the 'locked' checkbox. then go to tools menu>protection and protect the sheet as instructed. once you've done that you can use the tab key to move to the required cells.

I was thinking about that too, with alot of creative formatting on the locked cells. I think that will probably work, thanks.
