I am trying my best to copy excel's style of user forms in the actual application but am running into some obstacles.
For example look at the frames in Tools|Options. I would like to emulate these types of frames with a top and bottom line, instead of the "box type" of frame in the frame creation toolbox in VBA. I know... I know... Its not really necessary, but I am trying to practice creating userforms by mimicking excels actual forms. If any one has got some ideas, I'd appreciate it. Also if anyone knows where I can get some .PAG files for toolbox settings... Or any examples of some good Userforms let me know. Thanks! |

Hi John...
As far as I can see, you have all of the tools necc. to mimick the example you gave to the tee. Make the frame flat, no border. Use a textbox for the lines, sunken, same color as form... Use tab strips or multi pages... Any other questions or I can send you a form which I just created to mimic the Tools|Options example... Tom |

Also how do you make the tabs even spaced as they are in Tool|Options? If you could send me a form that mimics Tools|Options I would really appreciate it. Thanks!! Oh, also is there a way to "nudge" objects in the form creator? If I do it with the mouse the sizes or movements are always in large increments. Thanks again. |

I'll send you what I have...
Did not mimic the whole options dialog... Just the jist of it... The tabs? Spaces before text and after text in your tab captions... As far as your last question, just set the hieght, width, left, top, properties for the precision you are needing... Tom [ This Message was edited by: TsTom on 2002-04-22 23:22 ] |
