I have question in regards to extracting data from one document and importing it into excel. Does anyone know how to do that? Were one can take certain data within a PDF file or MS word document and import it into excel?

To import from Word or any text file, Choose Data>Get External Data.Import Text File. The Wizard will walk you through the steps. As far a PDF files go, that's not very easy

Or...
You can copy it from your .doc or .txt or? and paste in in a single cell, I usually use a1, and then go to Data>Text to Data and follow the Wizard. As far as .pdf goes, I think you need at least Acrobat 5.0 ( full version not just the reader ). Good Luck, Wesley |
