Chart Data Table Question

Anyone know how to switch around the order of rows in a chart's data table in such a way that you can have the following:

Bar series
Line series
Bar series
Line series

Excel seems to automatically take this and turn it into:

Bar series
Bar series
Line series
Line series

I had modified a bar chart into a custom bar and line chart, but I can't find any way to keep the series in the order I want them in.

I believe the chart table entry order is governed by series number.
