I have several worksheets in my spreadsheet. Cells from each worksheet are used on calculations in the other sheets. I originally named one of the sheets "PV Calc". It is now showing as .xls]PV Calc. Why is it doing this? It has changed three of my sheet names. It will not allow me to change it back either.

try copying the entire sheet (select the tab and copy), and then rename the sheet to the original name.

[Thanks - that worked. Any idea what I did to cause that - it has happened a time or two before.]

i couldnt tell you the cause.
you may find that you tried to open up a non-excel application. and the sheet has saved the .xls as its file type for reading. else it just goes back into the EXCEL X-files |
