Hi all,
I'm creating a Employment Application Form in Excel 2000 on a Win2k machine. The form consists of 10 pages, Personal Details, Employment History etc. The form would be emailed to an applicant, who would fill out the form and email it back. I'll then link the data populated Excel file to an Access 2000 database. Most of the fields are either text or dates. However, one page consists of 13 questions in Yes/No format. I'd like each question to have two radio buttons to the side where the applicant can click on or off. One column of radio buttons would be Yes, the other would be No. I tried doing this with the Forms Toolbar and created the radio buttons, however all 26 buttons are connected to each other! I'd like to be able to create 13 pairs of radio buttons that are independent of each other. Each pair's radio buttons would be linked to each other. 1) Is this possible? 2) Would it be better to do this using the Control Toolbar, where this individual grouping is possible? 3) Which method would give the most backward compatability? ie if I save in Excel 97-2000 & 5.0/95 Workbook format which method works best? 4) Are windows Excel files able to be used on Macs, if so what is the best Excel format to save in? Sorry about the length of this post, but I don't want to spend a lot of time creating a form that a lot of users using older versions of Excel can't use. Many thanks for any help or advice offered. Regards, Martin |

Hi
Use the group box for your buttons... Set the applications up as a web page and you will not have the need to worry about compatibility. Tom |

Dear Tom,
Thank you, that Group Box was so simple it was obviously beyond me! As for compatability, would an Excel 95 user running under Windows 95 be able to open and then save the .htm file? What about Mac users? Thank you for your help. Regards, Martin |

The file would run in the browser.
Not in Excel. As far as I understand it... Not sure about Netscape If your site has traffic congestion, the files could be downloaded and run in the browser or an Excel viewer, which is free... Tom [ This Message was edited by: TsTom on 2002-04-23 23:33 ] |

Dear Tom,
I don't want to run it in a browser or put it on the web, we will simply email the excel file to the applicant who will fill out the form, save it, then email it back to us. Hence the questions about backward compatability. Thanks, Martin |

In that case,
3.) in your initial post seems to cover the bases. I do not know about compatibility comparisons between forms and VB/VBA ax controls. Tom |
