Placing text on Line Chart line

How can I placed the legend name for a line of data on the line somewhere, rather than in a separate legend box?

I can do it if I copy the file into PowerPoint, but I don't see a way to do it in Excel.

See the Excel Help Index topic for "Link a chart title or text box to a worksheet cell". Note that you can create unattached text within a chart by beginning at step 2 with the chart area selected. This text can be positioned anywhere within the chart area.
