Does anyone know if there is a limit on how many rows and columns can be used by autofill? I am trying to autofill 210 columns with data from 8776 rows.
Thanks- |

It is a problem though. I keep getting a memory error. I found one limitiation about the cell length and autofill but nothing about rows or columns. I know it is not my cell length because they are formulas and they have the same size restriction, 255 characters. |

I am unaware of any limits on autofill. However, the error that you are getting is coming from your PC, not Excel. You are asking the PC to calculate a large number of cells at one time if you are autofilling with a formula. Instead of doing all 210 columns at one time, try half of that and then when that is done, autofill the other half.
Also, have you cleaned out the TEMP folder in your Windows directory? And, have you emptied your Recycle Bin? Both of those objects take up memory resources that impact the function of your PC. Hope this helps, Shirlene |
