I have several excel workbooks that are linked together by various formulas. The formulas are suppose to calculate automatically, however, occasionally all of the linked workbooks switch to manual calculation. I know how to reset the workbooks to automatically calulate but I would like to know what is causing the workbooks to switch so I can prevent it in the future.
Thanks, Tracey |

The calculation mode of the 1st workbook opened establishes the calculation mode for subsequently opened workbooks.

Hi,
In addition to what Mark stated, I have a number of workbooks which change the calc setting to manual on opening. So, you can also check the workbook events to see if anything changes the setting. Bye, Jay |
