I am hoping that you may be able to help.
We have a bizarre problem that we are having trouble finding a solution for with in excel 2000. We are creating simple, flat statement figures (no calculations) within an excel workbook. The problem is:- We enter a figure, e.g £233.06 and save the workbook. When we next open the file it has changed the figure to e.g £233.08..???? Why is excel adding this extra 2p (GBP) in this cell, as there is no formatting in the cell or anything relating to the cell. Do you think this is a virus, or am I missing something very simple. Help needed..... |

Aaron,
that's a weird one... also try your calculation settings : manual / automatic together with "iterations" although with no formulae, this is probably as useful as a bottle of shampoo in Ian Duncan-Smith's bathroom.... |
