date and sum corrsponding

Hi,
I need a formula where if a date is reached the fomula will sum up a cell like this

=if(date(2002,4,25),sum(ab6+ad3),0)
where if the date is reached the sum will total that cell only and if not reached reads
"0" or leave a blank space.

=IF(DATE(2002,4,25)=TODAY(),ab6+ad3,0)

Walt: This computation will be volatile--that is, it is valid only on 25-Apr-02 and 0 will show before and after that .
