changing formats within a cell with a formula

I need to have one part of a cell bold and a large font, but another part of the same cell not bold and a small font. This is easy enough when there is no formula in the cell. But how do I change the format within the cell if there is a formula? My formula looks like this: (where the text outside the parenthasis should be bold and the text inside should not be bold)

you could cheat by using the camera option, but it would be a bit fiddly in this example....

customise
commands
tools.......... scrolldown the options

click the camera icon and drag it to your toolbar, you should now have a camera sitting on your toolbar

Split your formula back into 2 cells with text and date, bolding and aligning appropriately

now highlight your first cell in question and click the camera, this will take a snapshot of that cell

now go to where you want to show it, click and drag to max size

repeat this with your second cell and do the same, adjusting its position so that it looks like a concatenated cell... (ie overlap them)

if you don't like the format (opaque-ness, lines etc etc) right-click the images and play around with the formats, this will get rid of any lines round the edges etc etc

NB - may be a disadvantage, may be a bonus : this image is realtime : if your scource cells change, the image will also change, similar to the original linked cell
