creating a data matrix

Hi

I've been asked to create an Excel matrix "to generate reports". Please, what does this mean???

Probably just means create a table in Excel. I've noticed a lot of the old guys in my work use the word "Matrix" instead of table, but that's old blokes for you. Bloody stubborn.

Don't know what kind of reports they want though.

thanks - dunno if my previous attempt to reply got through..
I think I "got" the impression it was as you suggest when originally briefed .. now, I wonder..

it's for collating, grading, and tabulating data from compnay websites...
