Anyone ever had a problem with cell formulas mutating spontaneously when a workbook is copied ??

Well no I don't think so? Could you give a more detailed example of what you are refering to? Like a before and after.

This
=ROUND((SUM(D227:G227)*C227)-H227,2) Changed to this =ROUND((SUM(D227:H227)*C227)-H227,2) all by itself when copied. it did it on 2 occasions that we know of and on 2 different computers. Both are drawing from a common server. wierd!!

Copied Save As new location and then the sheet itself was copied in the workbook. The original sheet was OK but the copied sheet was mutated in 4 cells. This was on my computer. My cellmate did the same but had different cells mutate. Both copied from the same server and the same template. Same Excel version, same OS (Windows 98) and none of the cells were merged.
Never seen anything like it. We have UPS’s on both machines.

hmmm
not a "reserved" name then.... SOrry George, I know this isn't helping much ! if it's not particularly sensitive data, can you email me a copy, I'd be interested to see if it does it on our network also.... Chris novulari@hotmail.com |

My employer would take a dim view of that.
It seemed to be a completely random occurance and we have not been able to duplicate it. Just trying to do a little research on the problem. So far no one else seems to have encountered this "bug" if indeed it is a bug.
