Can histograms with unequal intervals be made in Excel? If not can anyone write a macro to do it? I am a biology teacher interested in computers trying to advise a Maths department!

Hi Gary,
Yes, histograms can be done in Excel with unequal intervals, and does not necessarily require the use of macros. How one would do this would depend on how the intervals are specified, how one would want them labeled (assuming they are to be presented graphically), where the data come from, etc. Without more of this kind of information it is difficult to provide specific advice. You may find that Jon Peltier's "Brickyard" chart example to be similar to what you'd want. Not exact, but you may be able to use the techniques.
