Is there a way to do presence check on a few cells that are not near each other.
example: cells g7,g9,i13 an a16

what do you mean by a "presence check" ?

I don't know what you mean by presence check -- however if you want to take a quick glance of them collectively, you could set up a range name by highliting the cells of interest, viz G7,G9,I13, and A16 and give them a range name say presenceCheck.
Now when you EDIT|GOTO|presenceCheck, the cells in the associated range will be highlited for you to look at.
