Hello,
I have an Excel spreadsheet which is doing something very strange. Everytime I enter a whole number it's automatically converting the last 2 didgets as a decimal. Example - type in 123 it becomes 1.23, or type in 1234 it becomes 12.34, or type 56815865 it becomes 568158.65 !!! I have looked at format cells and have tried general and number and all those options, but as far as I can see it's nothing to do with that, and I've never come across this before !!! I've even selected the whole column, and cleared all to start again, but it's still doing it !!! Please help me !!! Helen |

Go to Tools / Options and select the Edit Tab. Uncheck the Fixed Decimal option.
