I have a problem with a dataset in which I have 3 sets of dates that were apparently entered as text, instead of as dates and look like mm/dd/yy. When I formatted each column to be date mm/dd/yyyy, no change takes place. How do I change 12,000 dates to say mm/dd/2001 instead of mm/dd/01? I tried replace ??/??/01 with ??/??/2001 and that didn't work. Thanks in advance!

Try this.
Select the range of dates, go to Data, Text to Columns and hit Finish. |

(Sorry, didn't see Juan's post.)
try highlighting your column and using text to columns under the data menu. You will probably just be able to away other with just hitting finish when the wizard pops up. Otherwise, hit next, next again, select the date radio dial with MM/DD/YY. Another option would be to put 1 in cell, copy it, and paste special multiply over your column. Good luck Quote:
