If i want to have a formula and a money data value eg £1500 in the same cell is this possible. example in cell b1 can i formula =sum(a1-b1)
i know this gives an error but can i get round it please. i am a novice. THANK YOU Aladin but i want to know is it possible to only use the two cells? THANK YOU MarkW but my question is can i put formula and data in the same cell? the above was just a simple illustration. _________________ Many Thanks To All You Helpers [ This Message was edited by: TTEMAN on 2002-02-26 09:32 ] [ This Message was edited by: TTEMAN on 2002-02-27 00:43 ] |

BTW, the SUM() in =SUM(A1-B1) is superfluous! A1-B1 returns a single value, and there's no need to sum a single value.
