Hi everyone,
I've just been emailed a workbook from someone that I need to extract data from and it's obviously been Shared on their system. However, when I go to Tools>Share Workbook I cannot untick the box to removed the Shared status of the workbook (box is greyed out). Any ideas on how to sort this? Many thanks AJ |

Did you try to save it on your desktop and changing the settings from there |

Sorry mate, don't quite get you.
What difference does it make if the file is on the desktop? The box is still greyed out when I open the file. Have I missed the point? Rgds AJ |

It sounds like the workbook has been 'protected and shared'- try going to Tools- Protection- Unprotect Shared Workbook, you may also need a password.
If not, make sure you have checked the box to 'Allow changes by more than one user' on the 'Editing' tab of the Tools- Share Workbook dialog box. |
