How do you post a screen-shot in the msg-body?

This may be the dumbest question ever asked on the board but I just don't know how to do this. I did check the FAQ's and ran several searches and still couldn't find how to do this.

Feel free to berate me for being blind and/or clueless.

I suspect you'd need access to either :

a) Mr Excel's website

b) your own website with which to link to via HTML

b) is quite easy... you can register with lots of sites for free webspace, and the HTML command is quite simple :

ps...something like this is not a screenshot, it's a table in HTML, designed to try to look similar to a screenshot

Actually Adam, my home isp gives me 50 megs free webspace..... so maybe most posters here could also look into whether theirs' provides some similar facility

(although I imagine a lot of us post from work so it may not be possible)

I've been thinking of utilising this for screenshots, maybe even setting up a geocities site .....

problem is, if you delete any, the links and images becoem invalid for anyone looking at older posts, so they'd have to stay there for ever

this would mean you'd very quickly run out of meg space

Another thing is that if we end up with posts peppered with images from varying isps, it *will* make the loading time for a page much longer, purely at the expense of cosmetics

I'm not sure if the majority of people using this board would welcome that, given most of our solutions can be quite adequately expressed textually


I know if ever I'm surfing and a page takes more than a minute to load, I just go somewhere else as I can't be bothered to wait......

worth bearing in mind - if your image gets me impatient, I'm not going to stick around, I'll move on to the next post !

No i agree i hate the web any rate and all the rubbish i get from holidays and adult site in my email but i love to hear from guys that email me, a real treat that is but iots slowed up a bit now 5 10 a day...

graphics?? nar.. place to wach sheets YES to download ,,,,, this will really share.... then no agro...

any good .. i like that simple.... idea.
