I'm a social worker with disadvantaged children in a school district.
In rows 2-8 I have information about a family. I may have 15 familes --- so that's 105 rows. And each 7 rows has the same information about a particular family. Tomorrow I may get my 16th family. And I would like to replicate the 7 rows from 2-8 beginning with row 106 or whatever the next row might be. Is there a way to replicate this? Also, B3 has the family name and I would like to keep the 15 or 20 families alphabetized. How might I do that? Finally, A4 is number 1 --- how do I insert into the A4's a consecutive number? Is there a formula? THANKS SO MUCH. |

Murrey,
I think you would be better off placing the data for each family in one row per family. This is like a record in a database and will make dealing with your data much easier. If you'd like, send me a copy of you workbook without confindential info, but with the same structure, and a list of what your needs will be as far as manipulating, searching, organizing, ect... your data. You will be better off to set it up as a small database and then you can manipulate it with various functions and other available utilities. Tom |
