A family member found that after she saved a file and returned to it, the file had only one huge A column with no column labels (A, B, C, etc.). When one scrolls to the right the column labels appear in one of those status msgs in the lower right corner, but the display of the worksheet nevere even displays the A label. The expected data in the A column is presented, but because none of the columns B ... Z, etc. appear, none of the data in those columns appear.
I keep looking for some accidental resetting of an option, but with no luck. The user is a novice and might very well have responded to some pop-up selection without understanding the consequences. Has anyone ever seen this? /Dad.neo |

Have you tried hitting ctrl-end? That should take you to the last used cell.
Any number of things could have occurred. Here's what I'd try, in this order: Ctrl-a to select entire sheet. Keep it selected throughout, or hit Ctrl-a again to select it all before performing each step. Format-Columns, Unhide Format-Columns, Set width to 9 Format-Rows, Set height to 13 Set to Change font color to black Change alignment to left-aligned Format-Cells, Alignment tab, uncheck Merge cells Hmmm...did I forget anything?

I noticed that the IE Browser wasn't painting the whole page too and thought that there might be something hosed in the RAM. So, we rebooted and ... all data in Excel sheets returned to view! Thanks to all suggestors ...never argue with success. -Peace, Dad.neo |

Hey, Dad?
If the problem returns, or other weird problems with your PC occur, try cleaning up the hard drive: http://www.thewordexpert.com/cleanyourpc.htm
