Sort Function with a command button

Ok, im absolute pants at spreadsheets so i have once again resided to the resources of the internet. Thank **** really cos i would be lost without it... Anyway, what i really wanted to say is erm... **** i think ive forgotton!

Oh yeah, I wanted to how to create a command button which sort results from a mini-olympics for an assignment im doing at college

The topics in the tables are, Lane, Name, Time, Position, Points.

Anyone able to help me on this? Id be so greatful!!!!

If it were me, I'd record a macro that sorts by the catagory required, then add a button which has that recorded macro assigned to it

[I should state : seeing as you're doing this as part of an academic assignment, I'm not going to tell you how to do it, rather, I'll suggest which areas you need to research]
