Pivot table field LIMITS? urgent help needed.

I am using the wizard to expand a pivot table and excel keeps crashing after I add more columns.

My data set is 165 rows and to column DI. I am trying to expand the columns to FM. Is there a limit on the fields in a pivot table?

so it looks like you need to augment your memory capacity...

Thanks a bunch.

It is strange. I apparently can create a new pivot table with that many columns but cannot use the wizard to get there.

it's not 100% clear if this solves your problem !

if you're still struggling, I'd suggest you create a dynamic range name for your data

this should mean you don't have to go via the wizard whenever your data expands or shrinks

if this sounds appealing *and* you have no idea how to go about it, use the search facility on this board (top right as you read this message)..... keywords "Dynamic named range"....include ALL words
