Silly question. How do I put a tick symbol in an Excel cell ? I'm using Excel 97.

Format as Marlet and enter a.

Just in case you don't have Marlett, format as Wingdings. Alt 0251 is an "x" and Alt 0252 is a check. Those are equal to "ű" and "ü".
