We have a database of sites numbered 1-800ish. Each site has an owner, a current distributor and a proposed distributor. What is the best way to summerize the number of sites (count) under the current distributor and also the proposed distributor for each owner? (in a report format). I have used an advanced filter to return unique values of owner name and current distributor/proposed distributor, but I can't figure out how to count each instance of the unique value. Do I use COUNTIF seperate from the advanced filter, or can I filter using a specific criteria.?? UUGGHH!

Wendy,
COUNTIF only works for a single criterium, but you look like you need two criteria have you thought about =SUMPRODUCT ? or also, maybe a pivot table would also do the job ?
