I have an application that I'm going to post to a website and I want the users to be able to tell what version of excel they have to see it if is compatible with my application. Do you know of any java script that I could find that would check the local version of excel and report that to the user? I know that there is java that will check the OS that they are running but I'm not sure about the version of excel or other apps. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
