Just lookin for some information bout VB6 and excel. Ive managed to understand how to use VBA and Excel. But is VB6 along the same lines. How do you set it up etc. Thanks.

Hi Brian.
I'm assuming you have bought the software? Just pop the disk in and set it up. If you have the Pro or Enterprise edition, choose a product setup... You can worry about the server apps later. Tom |

Sorry for being a bit vague there i actually have it all setup and that. Its setting the actual connection to the spreadsheet up and getting it to work is the problem! I have it connecting now but how do u do: Like in VBA where u can make a label hold contents of a cell. Is it the same or bit different?? Thanks

You should not find it too difficult to adapt to VB. However, there are quite a few differences. If you are attempting to control Excel from VB right off the bat, you might want to hold off on the automation and familiarize yourself with VB first. Did you install MSDN? The help files? I have to free up the line... Check into the help files for now. Tom |
