Protecting Document

First let me say thanks to all who responded to my previous cry for help - problem resovled. Now for what I think must be something I have done but can't find the problem..

I have a workbook with about 8 sheets in it. On each page there are drop down boxes which I need the user to be able to make selections from - data will appear on page according to their selection. I unlocked the boxes and the cells they are in and then protected my worksheets - all is well except for on one worksheet. It will not work. When I try to make a selection from the drop down box it stops me and says it is protected. I have been over and over my protection settings, etc. Any ideas?

suggest making totally sure all protection is dropped, on all sheets and try..

i have seen problems when sheets are protected, and list or drop downs are used.

are the data range for the drop downs out side the entry sheets, i suggest this keeps thing away and tidy so if needs be delete this diggy sheet and remake it or better still create a copy and try prior to delete of cause. This portects original data.. ALWAYS save the whole wkbk as original + wahtever the file name was so ater fix win or loose yo can return to where you were

only loss then will have been a few grey hairs and so time.
