I am setting up a workbook with several worksheets. The first worksheet will have a list of "specifications", which will be referenced in multiple formulas on multiple worksheets. This is so that IF and WHEN the specs change, I only have to change the actual specs and not hundreds of formulas.
I am setting up conditional formatting to also refer to these "specs". When I tried to reference the first worksheet in the conditional formatting on the other worksheets, it does not work. I have figured out a round-about-way to get around this, but was wondering if anyone knew of a direct way? I don't really want to use name-define, as there are many specs. But, if this is the only way, I am willing to do so. |

Unfortunately, I think you will have to use the long way you found to do this.
Data validation doesn't let you use a source from another sheet, either. When I was setting that up, I had to name the range and use that. _________________ ~*Kristy*~ "Catapultam habeo.
