When using the DSUM function, does the criteria range always have to be contigous cells? I have the formula set up but once I get the value for one name (say cell a3), I want to be able to move to the next name (cell b3) but return the value?

The criteria range has to be in contiguous cells. About the second part of your question, can you formulate it as a criterion?
