I am working on a file where I will have multiple columns, one for
each month's data. I want to put a summary box at the top that will give me the total for the most current month posted. I can do a 'Max' to put the most current date there, but of course 'Max' won't work for the summed value associated with the date. Any suggestions?? |

Please give more detail into your request, some sample data and ranges might help.

Select an empty cell, type =, select 10 rows of the first 4 column starting from the start row of your data (inncluding labels), hit F9, Edit|Copy what you see, and post it in the follow up.
The above is meant to obtain info about the layout of your data. |
