In charts and graphs the numbers that appear on the left side of the graphs/charts can that be replaced with months and if so how? Also can one protect cells versus an entire worksheet in which you need a password to enter the worksheet? Thank You!

In Excel time series (time-scale) are typically plotted on the x-axis.

No, you can't password protect individual cells.
