Can anyone recommend any consultants or organizations in the Silicon Valley area that are available for Excel training? There are several people in our office who are very proficient at day-to-day Excel tasks and basic formulas. But, depending on cost, we were thinking of having someone come in for a few hours (once or several times) to show us more advanced Excel techniques.
My email address is shumande@yahoo.com or just post something here. Thanks in advance! |

I doubt that anyone knows much about computers in the Silicon valley.

Tom Urtis is one of the leading posters on the MrExcel site, and lives in Silicon Valley. He may be able to help, or he may be able to direct you to a local trainer. I don't mean to shill for Tom, especially if he doesn't do that sort of thing, so I will drop out now.
What are you doing using Excel, anyway? Aren't you in the hotbed of the Anti-MS brigades (Sun, Oracle)? Are you ostracized from the rest of the community? Bye, Jay [ This Message was edited by: Jay Petrulis on 2002-05-15 16:54 ] |

Thanks Jay... We're just analyzing and manipulating trading and financial data. I don't think a few sessions with someone will turn any of us into gurus. But it would help to learn different and quicker ways of doing things.

It seems that you always suggest Dave Hawley as the answer to everything. Are you on a commission? Should this board be discontinued and all requests for help be directed to Dave hawley only? dimrod |
