I cant figure out how to fill in a column with dates that will leave out the weekends. Any help would be nice

Highlight the 1st date, and with the right mouse button on the bottom right of that cell, drag the mouse where you want the rest of the dates to go. When you let go a menu pops up, choose series at the bottom, then choose weekdays. Job Done !
