An Excel97 user is getting the following error when adding a new sheet. "An error occurred while loading sheet 41111111111 etc.
It looks like it's over the 31 character limit. But what do I do to save her workbook? It does not open at all in Excel 2000. |

"If you've already got this error, and if it's possible to open it, save the file down to Excel 5.0, close it, reopen, and save as your current version again. Or open it in Excel XP, which often fixes the document for you--even after you have been unable to open it in lesser versions."

Is a new sheet being added or is another sheet being copied?
If it is another sheet being copied, you need to edit the sheet name in the VBA editor. Whenever a sheet is copied, it adds another 1 to the sheet (name) in VBA.
