Hi,
Someone brought to my attention a worksheet on which when she tried to enter dates such as: 5/22/02. However,it displayed as 0.001248751. I think Excel is trying to read the entry as a calculation trying to divide 5 into 22 into 2. I thought I read somewhere that there is a setting in Excel where you don't have to enter an = sign before every formula. I don't know where it is though or if that is the solution. Any ideas ???? Thanks, Joe Woodbury, CT. |

Go to Tools / Options / Transition tab.
Under Sheet options, uncheck the box next to "Transition Formula Entry." |
