Ampersand in Footer

I've forgotten how to print the ampersand character in the footer without Excel interpreting it as a print code,
i.e. (1) S&P 500

BTW if you had searched the Excel Help topic for "&" it would have suggested the topic, "Create custom headers and footers", which contains the following tip...

Quote:

To include a single ampersand (&) within the text of a header or footer, use two ampersands. For example, to include "Subcontractors & Services" in a header, type Subcontractors && Services.
