Hi!
I am opening an excel workbook in my ASP page . I enter data into the excel sheet through some calculation. My problem is.... when user opens the workbook by clicking on the link preaent on website's page. Excel workbook gets open independently, which doesn't look good. Is there anyway to open workbook as a HTML/ASP page. So that user can see the workbook like a report in the browser. please do reply as soon as possible Thanks |

ASAP eh? Well, two [easier] things come to mind.
1) If you own Excel 2000, you can save/publish a worksheet as an html page, including interactivity (locked cells, inputs, etc....). The drawback is that both you and your end-user have to have Microsoft Web Components installed to view/use the html page. This is easy stuff, Save as html in the File menu, browse the options. 2) Our MVP, Colo, and MVP collaborator, Ivan, have created a [very] choice XL add-in to convert a spreadsheet to HTML. This will be universally read via I.E. Explorer (I believe). For this solution, follow: http://www.mrexcel.com/board/viewtop...736&forum=10&8 See 'click here' at the bottom for Colo's contact info. _________________ Cheers, NateO ![]() [ This Message was edited by: NateO on 2002-05-16 20:35 ] |
