I have had this before, but i cannot remember how to get rid of it. When you open excel and click on a cell the sheet acts as if you have shift held down all the time, and selects multiple cells as you move the mouse ? The only way to get out of this is to open taskmanager and close down excel. When this is happening you cannot click on any of the buttons or drop downs..
help and cheers in advance Crabby |

Hi crabby,
Sounds like you may have inadvertently hit the F8 key. Try hitting it again (it toggles).
