Numeric field overflow

Can anyone help me with this error message please. I am using Excel to write pupil reports. The fields are a mixture - some are numeric and some are text. I have formatted all the cells as text.

When I try to mailmerge the information into a MS Publisher document I get about half the records to merge then get the error message "Numeric field overflow". I have tried a variety of "fixes", including resorting the records, deleting the "offending" record, etc but I still keep getting the message.

Any help would be gretfully received. thanks
