Hey,
I'm not realy sure what you're asking. You might want to give us some detail on what you've got in front of you and what exactly you're shooting for. Adam |

Explain: A worksheet with 12 months and in filling in the months I would like to have a function that would put the most current month in a formula.
A B C D E F G H I J K L X J F M A M J J A S O N D Change 5 1 2 3 4 5 +(F1-a1) Next month I have to change the formula to show G1-A1. Get my drift. I need a function to recgonize the first column that has data in it. As one fills the year, the formula will always automaticly change. |

What is "x" ? What is 5 ? what is +(F1-a1) ? F1 houses "M" and A1 houses "X" by my understanding of your example. |

X is the standard. 5 is just a number. Column A is the standard and the months are in columns B through M. The formula is in column P. The formula substracts the latest month from the standard. Therefore since the last month with data is April (column I), Column I - column A is the difference in the standard and the latest month. Next month you have to change the formula since the most current month will be May (Column J).
