i have formatted it to h:mm and [h]:mm and it still totals to 0:00, could it be because it is a total sum from a number of cells.

what i have is a datasheet with all times on it and a input sheet that has blank cells by certain jobs that i do, and when i type in how many of a certain job i have done it gets the information of the other sheet and displays it in another cell and then another cell totals it all together, if you can see what i mean, i am a beginner in excel so i might have got it all wrong.

Hi chaps
I've posted my answer on the other string that's going at the moment, but in short, add up the minutes divide by 1440 then CUSTOM format [h]:mm let me know how you get on Sykes |
