couldn't find it, so here goes
right click the cell with the comment edit comment right click the margin format comment colours and lines fill colour fill effects picture (at last) select picture browse till you find something suitable Hope this helps Chris  marker comment picture |

if you want something really groovy : a picture that changes depending upon what's actually in the cell
(ie "dog" shows a pic of a dog, "cat" shows a pic of a cat and "horse" shows a picture, yup, of a horse) try this thread where Ivan excels himself with some VBA code that does this : http://www.mrexcel.com/board/viewtop...orum=2&start=0
