How do you set up a transparent watermark as wallpaper background on an Excel worksheet & apply it to all the worksheets of a workbook?
e.g.
Suppose you wanted a background thus:

* * * * *
* * * * *
* * * * *
* * * * *
etc.

Hey,

I believe you can do this through Format/Sheet/Background. Although I think you need to repeat for each sheet - at least before a VBA solution.

to add

background will not print
suggest word art and custom format, or text box, most are not as good as we would like.

I didn't realize that backgrounds do not print - sorry for the misinformation *hangs head in shame*.
