This concerns determining the amount of holiday an employee takes in a previous 'rolling' 12 month period. The employee is limited to just 25 days in each period.
There are four columns, the first contains the employees names, the second - the start of their vacation period, third the end of their holiday and fourth the number of days taken in that period (col 2 - col3). My problems arise when the holiday starts before the relevant date or even when both the start and end fall before the relevant date in which case the latter results in a negative number. This is what I did thus far: I arrived at the 'relevant date' by using =Today() - 365 and column 5 has the following formula - =IF((Holiday_start I hope I have made myself clear but any help is appreciated. |
