I am only a beginner to intermediate level user of excel :
Can we generate a bar graph with bar patterns/colours to represent values - e.g for values between 0 to 100 can you have 3 different cours e.g for 0 to 50 red, 51-75 yellow, 76-100 green. (I have a similar task where I am supposed to make 55 graphs - each having 10+ bars and I have to manually change to the 3 reqd colours on each bar of the graph unless there is a solution to this) thanks |

Hello sanjkhanna,
Yes, this is not difficult to do, but requires a few lines of VBA code. Rather than trying to explain it here, if you will post your email address I will be happy to send you an example of a bar chart in which the bar colors are based on the value being plotted.

Dear Damon
Thanks a ton for the prompt reply My email add is sanjay.khanna@gecrps.com.au I am glad there is a solution, although it requires coding in VB. When u respond with that code it'd be great if u could tell me how to use/implement that code too. Thanks and best regards |
